AN INTERESTING COUPLE OF PRESEASON GAMES FOR THE CLUB!

 We had a well contested match against the Pirates Ams on Thursday night. It was our first chance to put together some moves and have a look at the boys.

  Although the score went to the Ams, we were clearly the better team. We dominated field position and lineout,the scrums were equal but we had more turnovers and were the more organised team. That said we struggled to finish our scoring chances which is something we couldnt do last year and if we can solve the problem we will high up the table this year!!

 On Saturday we played Helston away and after a slow start our boys picked up the pace. We struggled a little with first phase ball but with so many changes made that was to be expected. Overall it was another god chance to look at our younger players...and Bruce Jago,who continues to dish out punishment!!

   We have a week now to find the right blend for us to beat St Austell who we know have a mobile pack and a good back line...roll on Saturday
