Welcome to Hayle Rugby Club on
Hayle RFC will play in the Cornwall & Devon league in the 2008/9 season. Following relegation from the Western Counties (West) league, we can now look forward to rebuilding and developing our senior and colts teams from the ground up. Playing in the Devon & Cornwall league will give us the chance to renew old rivalries with other Cornish clubs, such as Truro, Penryn, Falmouth and Saltash.
We are presently inviting applications for a Head Coach/Director of Rugby and a couple of Player Coaches. The new coaching structure will embrace Senior & Colts teams and the objective will be to develop all sides in line with the club's stated aims.
The positions of Head Coach/Director of Rugby and Player Coach will be paid positions - applications can be submitted to info@haylerugby.co.uk or by post to The Rugby Committee, Hayle RFC, Memorial Park, Marsh Lane, Hayle, Cornwall.
Hayle RFC provide a safe, healthy, inclusive, and caring environment for individuals and families to develop, play and enjoy the athletic competition and social interaction associated with the sport of rugby through a community-based Club. Hayle RFC has CASC status (Community Amateur Sports Club).
Senior Teams: It is the Club’s aim to play at the highest sustainable level within the confines of the amateur game, thus, promotion back into the Western Counties (West) league is the challenge. Hayle 2nd team play social and merit table fixtures. A strengthening 2nd XV puts pressure on 1st XV players to maintain both fitness and form and it is the Club’s aim to create a regular, enthusiastic 2nd XV.
New players of all ages and levels of experience are always very welcome.
Colts, Juniors and Minis: The club fields a Colts XV and several Junior and Mini teams at various age levels. The objective is to maintain and develop these teams by fostering links with local schools and youth organisations and continuing to host mini/junior rugby events such as the highly successful 2008 festival.
Vets -v - Colts: The annual Vets v Colts match took place on Saturday 22nd March (Easter Saturday). Click here for full details A big thanks to all who participated and supported this annual event. Hayle RFC - Vets v Colts 2008
